Unlocking the potential of your crops with bio-stimulants

The unpredictability and extremities of the UK climate, and challenging soil conditions, are being addressed with a new range of biotechnology products launched by AminoA Bio-stimulants and showcased during an Open Day event at Todrig Farm, near Greenlaws, Kelso, TD10 6UP, on the 19th June.

AminoA products are natural bio-stimulants, obtained through enzymatic hydrolysis. Containing essential amino-acids that plants synthesise throughout their growth cycle, they can contribute positively to yield and quality if the plant is not already producing optimal levels of amino-acids itself.

Having launched its original product, AminoA FLO in July 2017, and showing excellent results by harvest 2018, AminoA has announced its Kelso Open Day, following a successful event south of the border in May, at Abington Park Farm near Cambridge.

As with the earlier event, also supported by Triton Farms, the Open Day will showcase the range of crops on Todrig Farm that have all been treated with AminoA products, and drilled by Triton Seed Drills. Drone AG will also be present to demonstrate its hassle-free drone technology, aiming to make farming more productive.

Conventional arable farmers are recognising the benefits of the judicious use of bio-stimulants, to boost yields and profits, whilst at the same time sustaining the fragile ecosystem in soils.

‘’Our products are deliberately designed to have broad spectrum activity, as they contain every essential amino-acid that plants synthesise throughout their growth cycle,” explains AminoA managing director Richard Philips.

“Repeated use of our products, in combination with other agrochemicals, will enhance their effectiveness and produce a yield response in the crop, and we are pleased to have the opportunity to display, on farm, the excellent results they are producing,” he adds.

AminoA FLO is a highly concentrated l-isomer amino-acid complex developed for the large scale arable farmer, and is manufactured in the UK. It contains synthetics and the latest crop penetrant technology to make it suitable for mixing with other agrochemicals.

AminoA will also be introducing AminoA BLAAZT during the Open Day. Launched at Cereals 2019, AminoA BLAAZT is an exciting new introduction to the range of bio-stimulant products. It contains Nitrogen in the Amine form (NH2), which is the most efficient form, normally only produced and found in the plant itself.

By harnessing this form of Nitrogen, BLAAZT helps improve yield and quality in all crops, provides effective Nitrogen nutrition and reduces the risk of environmental pollution from the run-off of easily leached chemical fertilisers.

Richard and his team at AminoA will be available throughout the day, offering additional advice and discussing individual requirements.

Attendance is free, and you can register your attendance at via email enquiries@aminoa.co.uk.
